It’s a Sprint: Games Leaving PlayStation Plus May 2026 Edition
Sand Land by ILCA and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment
April has been packed with releases. Regardless of what you’re into, there’s probably been at least a few titles to add to your backlog.
Gecko Gods, Ground Zero, Replaced, Mouse PI, and The Third Shift are all finally here. Pragmata also landed with rave reviews (completing a Capcom hat trick in less than two months). AND, there’s a new Double Fine game out in a few days.
Somewhere in there I forgot that I’d preordered Saros (Housemarque’s follow-up to the incredible Returnal). With the announcement this morning that MOTORSLICE is coming early next month, May is shaping up to be just as busy. There are no more droughts in the release calendar.
Here’s everything scheduled to leave PlayStation Plus next month. Once again, I’m pulling these from an early list. If more are revealed later, I’ll update accordingly.

Little Hope having a higher Meta Score than Man of Medan feels illegal.
I want to eventually play Sand Land–but I’m going to be good and try to finish some of the things I have in progress (again, April has been crazy). I finally wrapped up Stellar Blade, and with my parrying skills refreshed, returning to Sekiro is inevitable.
I haven’t done much Tactical Reload writing this month–not good but not a surprise. I put this piece together during the 90 minutes my windshield was being replaced (don’t park under flagpoles). It seemed like it would be a productive use of my time.
We’ll talk, hopefully more at length, soon.
