It’s a Sprint: Games Leaving Game Pass May 15th 2025 Edition

Little Kitty, Big City by Double Dagger Studio

I’m going to do my best to neglect regular site updates in May.

This, of course, will be easier said than done because I’m addicted to work and I love video games. But with summer coming soon (or more specifically–summer game jams coming soon) I need to dump some serious hours into learning C#, Blender, and Unity. I want to build that foundation before I’m actually on the clock.

Here is everything scheduled to leave Game Pass in the next couple weeks.

If none of these interest you, I highly recommend both Blue Prince and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (the latter of which has had such an overwhelmingly positive launch that some retailers have reportedly sold out of physical copies).

It’s also been a while since the “Recently Added” and “Coming Soon” sections on the Xbox app were this stacked. Dredge and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) are coming later this week while Tony Hawk, The Alters, and REMATCH (the Sifu team’s take on soccer) will steadily debut over the summer. In addition to this buffet, we’re less than two weeks away from the release of a little-known game titled Doom: The Dark Ages. Start planning your hard drive space accordingly.

Thanks for reading. I’ll see you on the other side.*

*The “other side” here refers to an extensive playlist of tutorials about frying donuts up in Blender.
