Virtual Console Dreaming: The Wario World Update
Wario World by Treasure and Nintendo
Oh? Did you think Nintendo was finished for the day? I certainly did. That’s why I’m so late.
Ten hours after the double shot of 3D platformers we started the morning with, Nintendo announced that Wario World is the next addition to the GameCube catalog (and Expansion Pack subscribers can play it NOW). I’ve somehow managed to avoid all spoilers for this game but its cover has intrigued me since its launch. It was developed by Treasure (Sin and Punishment, Ikaruga, Gunstar Heroes) and that fact alone makes it worth a look.
Maybe most importantly of all, I think this is the first time since I started this series of articles that I actually get to cross something off. I was beginning to doubt that we’d ever see the day.
Here is my current wish list. There have been no other changes since this morning.

I dumped all my site updates in the previous Virtual Console Dreaming so I’ll take this opportunity to plug my Windswept review again. If you have a fondness for woodland critters and don’t have the tendency to smash controllers, you shouldn’t miss it. It’s a spiritual successor to Donkey Kong Country and is packed with secrets.
The Game Awards are here! Any bets on if I’ll have to write another one of these before the week is out?
