It’s a Sprint: Games Leaving PlayStation Plus October 2025 Edition
Battlefield 1 by DICE and EA
I thought I was busy when I burned through both Dying Light 2 and Remnant II a couple months ago–but with all these Game of the Year contenders releasing, I’ve been slammed.
I still managed to finish The Plucky Squire–a clever game filled with gorgeous art from beginning to end–but ultimately came away feeling very average about the experience (I was never in the mood to just sit down and play it). Regrettably, with the time I dumped into that storybook adventure, I only got to check out the first couple hours of Odin Sphere. For what it’s worth, it seemed cool and felt much closer to Muramasa: The Demon Blade than I expected.
Here is what’s currently scheduled to leave PlayStation Plus in October. This list seems pretty thin, so if at a later date we learn we’re losing more, I’ll post those titles in an update at the bottom of this article.
Battlefield 1
Metacritic Score: 88
Playtime estimate according to HowLongToBeat: 6.5-25 hours
Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed Ecto Edition
Metacritic Score: 68
Playtime estimate according to HowLongToBeat: 7.5 hours
Tour de France 2023
Metacritic Score: 73 (based on two user reviews on HowLongToBeat, it has a 5%)
Playtime estimate according to HowLongToBeat: 9 hours
The Last Clockwinder
Metacritic Score: 83
Playtime estimate according to HowLongToBeat: 5-9.5 hours
I’m going to skip these–but I did enjoy my time with Battlefield 1 when I played it at release in 2016. Yes, typing that sentence made me painfully aware of my mortality.
Changing the subject, what’s your favorite time of the year? Other than the week of “E3” (obviously), I’m partial to the stretch between Halloween and Christmas. I’m ready to get cozy and experience some “weather.” I don’t recall seeing anything other than blue skies since April.
We’ve been given a gift with this list–a window before Q4 comes crashing in. Go conquer your stacks and crush those backlogs.
