It’s a Sprint: Games Leaving Game Pass September 30th 2025 Edition

Ninja Gaiden Master Collection by Koei Tecmo

I want to open this article by expressing how good we’ve had it in 2025, so far.

I’m currently splitting my time between Silksong, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Death Stranding 2 with Metal Gear, Ghost of Yotei, and Silent Hill on deck. I don’t think I’ve personally had a stretch with this much quality since 2019 when I played Bloodborne, Celeste, Inside, 428, and the Resident Evil 2 Remake back-to-back (to-back-to-back-to-back).

Now we just need to find a way to add a few more hours to the day.

Here is everything scheduled to leave Game Pass at the end of the month. Luckily, this selection is pretty focused. There shouldn’t be too much here to distract from your backlog.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Metacritic Score: 88

Playtime estimate according to HowLongToBeat: 13.5-30 hours

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2

Metacritic Score: 83

Playtime estimate according to HowLongToBeat: 11-87 hours

Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor’s Edge

Metacritic Score: 69

Playtime estimate according to HowLongToBeat: 7.5-34.5 hours

Terra Invicta

Metacritic Score: NA (66% User Rating on HowLongToBeat)

Playtime estimate according to HowLongToBeat: 65.5 hours (based on a handful of times)

I suppose the decision-makers at Xbox want to clear the way for when Ninja Gaiden 4 launches on October 21st (it’s the cover story for this month’s Game Informer). I still think it’s an odd choice (wouldn’t you want to provide marathon opportunities for players discovering the series for the first time and build hype?), but I guess if you’re behind on the franchise, you have two weeks to play catch-up. It’s worth noting that, theoretically, Ninja Gaiden Black 2 should still be available after September 30th.

We’re kind of in a weird in between at Tactical Reload this week. I should have another review in the next few days, and, provided Sony cooperates, I’ll have the list of PlayStation Plus departures up soon. If you’ve been away from the site, I published my thoughts on Wheel World last week and covered Friday’s very interesting Nintendo Direct. Hopefully, those will tide you over.

Thanks for reading and I’ll see you soon!
