It’s a Sprint: Games Leaving Game Pass September 15th 2025 Edition

Wargroove 2 by Robotality and Chucklefish

I always have these grand ambitions about finishing things before they leave their respective services (Odin Sphere and The Plucky Squire are my current ill-fated projects) but have you seen the calendar lately? And I don’t expect this cadence of Game of the Year contenders to slow down until December.

Most importantly of all (and heavily tied to what I wrote above), this is the last “It’s a Sprint” article before Silksong

Here is everything scheduled to leave Game Pass in the next couple weeks.

We Love Katamari REROLL + Royal Reverie by Bandai Namco Entertainment

As I mentioned in the opening, I’m pretty locked into what I’m playing currently–but I’ve always been interested in the Wargroove series. Created by Robotality and Chucklefish, they’re turn-based, colorful takes on the Advance Wars formula. On the opposite end of the spectrum, if you’ve never experienced a Katamari before, this is the perfect opportunity to check out a few levels of its chill surrealism. The new game launches next month. As one of my all time favorites, that gets my vote.

I’m going to do my best to finish my impressions of last Friday’s the MIX showcase and a review this week. However, this might be the only window I have to hang out with one of my siblings for the rest of the year, so I’ll find a way to forgive myself if that doesn’t happen.

Life is good. Video games are the best they’ve ever been.
