It’s a Sprint: Games Leaving Game Pass February 15th 2026 Edition

Madden NFL 24 by EA

Have you had a chance to play Highguard

One of the first big releases of the year and we’re already steeped in controversy (even if that "controversy" is mostly a byproduct of manufactured outrage). I have a theory that the announcement at the Game Awards followed by radio silence backfired. Not that the game needed the additional marketing (its initial player count numbers prove this), but bad actors have been able to frame the strategy as arrogance.

Of course, no excuses, if the game is bad–the game is bad. I’ll probably give it a shot after this initial wave of bug fixes even though I’ve never played Apex. With how quickly the devs have been to address criticism (of the good faith variety) I’m confident I still have time.

Game Pass is only scheduled to lose one thing in the next two weeks. After January’s shenanigans, I’m dubious (so dubious I’m not even going to remove the extra slots in my template).  I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any list changes over the next few days and update accordingly.

It’s hard to believe it’s February. Where I’m at, the lizards are already getting active. Winter is over. There are no confirmed showcases scheduled for the near future but I expect that to change within the next two weeks.

Thanks for reading. We’ll talk soon.
