It’s a Sprint: Games Leaving PlayStation Plus December 2025 Edition
Forspoken by Luminous Productions and Square Enix
Sony held a State of Play last week with a focus on Japanese developers. I opted to not write a full breakdown of it because over half the show was dedicated to DLC, ports, and things we’ve seen before. However, this felt like the appropriate spot to drop a few honorable mentions you may have missed.
-Elden Ring: Nightreign’s Forsaken Hollows DLC launches on December 4th. Are we really that close to the end of the year?
-Octopath Traveler 0 is also out December 4th. I recommend every soundtrack from this franchise.
-I don’t NEED a remake of Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly–but I am beyond excited to check it out on March 11th next year.
-Lastly, InKobini: One Store, Many Stories, is a slice of life sim about managing a Japanese convenience store. It’s set to release in the spring.
As for games that are out now (and need to be played NOW) here’s everything scheduled to leave the PlayStation Plus catalog in December.

I’m still acclimating to (and loving) my new job, but I expect this to be a hectic couple weeks at Tactical Reload. I’m in the middle of reviewing a fantastic 2D platformer and the Game Award nominations were revealed Monday morning (a list of predictions will soon follow–but maybe not a 16 page version). The Game Pass It’s a Sprint will also go up whenever Microsoft releases their list. Depending on when you’re reading this, those articles might already be live.
Until next time, polish those Christmas lists and organize your cookie recipes.
