It’s a Sprint: Games Leaving Game Pass August 15th 2025 Edition

We’re halfway through the summer (and Q3 will be over before we even realize it). How are your backlogs treating you? What’s your Game of the Year, so far?
In 2025, I’ve only finished a pathetic 23 games at this point. I suppose some fluctuation between years is inevitable–especially if you tend to gravitate towards RPGs the way I do. Still, I need to do better.
Here is everything scheduled to leave Game Pass in the next couple weeks.

I’ve never had much of an interest in Anthem, but you might want to jump in for at least a few hours before it becomes lost media. It’s currently scheduled to be sunsetted in January.
I can already tell my break from Tactical Reload related business is going to be too brief. Gamescom 2025 is in two weeks, and with the general lack of projects in the recent Pokemon Presents, I would also expect a Nintendo Direct sooner rather than later (I am obviously aware of the Partner Showcase that aired this week, but we’re still missing a few release dates and I don’t think Nintendo’s entire holiday season is going to rest on the shoulders of Pokemon Legends: Z-A). I guess they could just be coasting on the good vibes of Game of the Year contender Donkey Kong: Bananza. As with all things, we’ll see.
Now that “E3” is behind me, I’ve made my triumphant return to messing around in Blender. It’s still hard, of course–it always will be–but it’s been a while since I’ve been so completely absorbed by something the way I am when I’m 3D modeling.
Am I any good? Not really, but like everything else I’m not good at, I’m going to keep trying. You can find some of my recent efforts below.
